A knob turned too far.


There is no fine line between innocence and chaos within music, so this is my attempt at forming one. By tearing apart Its core composition or destroying its other foundations with post-processing effects, I wanted to implement all the childly emotions I could, and then mutilate them into this absurdist attempt at musical expression.

Playing with modular instruments, improvisationally or not, evokes a sense of unlimited discovery, in quantities you may only feel while young. But at what point do these good intentions turn cruel, to its listeners and its performer? Playing with this little wonder, going way too far with it, has led me here.


Lowercase Title (L) = Main Segment/Attraction

Uppercase Title (U) = Transfer Piece/Escalator Track

L tracks are higher quality pieces, often more complex and meaningful than U tracks, each assembled using many different parts within FL Studio. Their titles are whatever works for them.

U tracks are low in fidelity and quality, each is a manipulated version of a live improv session done with the Arturia MicroFreak hybrid synthesizer. Their titles are fragments of more recognizable English words.


The cover artwork for this album is a photo I took at some point. I don’t know what it is or where I took it, but I felt it fit this project to a nearly impossible degree.

1 - snuk
This song is named after one of my cats, it uses only one instrument (+ a resonator), and Its melody is inspired heavily by PilotRedSun’s musical works. This track is largely why I ended up finishing this project. You start not elsewhere, only here.

2 - AWF
A tremendously simple, easy-going start to this half of the album.

With FM synthesis, a southing preparation for what is approaching.

A tiny ambient loop, poisoned by retriggering and delay.

In small quantities, fuzz, in larger, tape delay, and a hint of, frequency echo.

An extremely sped-up version of a 26-minute session. Despite this immense loss of content, I have a liking for its new blurry formation.
